Trend of Increasing Interest for Lacrosse Field Layout Tool

Trends, Sports, Turf _Tips
Over the past several years the request for the soccer field layout continues to be strong compared to the lacrosse and rugby layout tools. However there is an accelerated rate of increase for the lacrosse field tool over the past two years.

Of all the requests for the layout tools over the past 5 years, soccer makes up 72.3% of the total while lacrosse is 20.4% and rugby is 7.3%.

When you compare the rate of change of requests over the last 2 years, the lacrosse field layout tool is growing at a 31% rate versus soccer at 25% and rugby at 50% (small beginning numbers since the tool has only been available for 4 years).

Athletic Management Magazine recently listed numerous articles highlighting the growth of lacrosse across the US, especially in the West and through the South as well as the Midwest.

There has been an increase of calls from lacrosse clubs that are starting up a program. They are scrambling to get commitments for fields in their community and the associated field marking options given the type of sport fields play surfaces.

Many times the lacrosse clubs have access to synthetic turf fields, however the facility managers are insisting a temporary marking solution, in fact a very temporary solution requiring a no cleaning agent solution.

Tru Mark has at least two options for these situations. The aerosol chalk and bulk chalk (CheapSeats Double Play) solutions are available.
